Do you know what it is? It is always a little bit funny for me and my colleagues. I am working in Vienna at a large company and usually we have lunch at our cantina. The menu is written in German language of course (my mother tongue) but also translated to English language. Sometimes we wonder if an English native speaker would really imagine the right dish. This one is called “Powidltascherl”, originally from bohemia, but very usual in Vienna. Most of the time you will find it as a dessert in a restaurant, but it is used as a main dish also, for instance in the cantina. It could be recommended without restriction for persons who like such sweet dishes.
